PLANT EXTRACTION...
ANTESITE. Still as full of flavour since 1898!
In 1898, the French apothecary Noël Perrot Berton devised an ultra-concentrated recipe that was healthy, tasty and particularly thirst-quenching, combining the kick of licorice with the subtlety of anise. Very quickly, Antésite became a favourite: the small, distinctive bottles became recognizable around the world and delighted generations of gourmets. Since 2015, the range has been expanded with new fruit-based flavours, for alternative hydration experiences -without added sugars or sweeteners.

Flavors have their say
Théodule Noirot, a 19th century botanist and herbalist from Nancy, used the traditional monastic methods to create popular drinks that were as natural as possible. Skillfully mixing plants and fruits, macerating and distilling bark, wood, herbs and leaves, today the unique know-how of this brilliant inventor and father of modern syrups, continues to inspire us.
ACQUISITION and evolution
In the 1990s, Antésite - the recognized specialist in licorice extraction, decided to extend its range by integrating human skills and the important NOIROT recipe book. Founded by the brilliant herbalist Théodule Noirot, the Nancy-based company was renowned for its expertise in in the extraction of plants and fruits and blending flavors. Bringing together these complementary and visionary companies brought a fresh perspective to Antésite.
LBDV proudly and passionately maintains the heritage of these two century-old French industrial gems, with their complementary skills in plant extraction and blending flavors. Every day in our workshops, we take care to extract the very essence of flavours in order to create unique, characterful drinks, whose balance and naturalness are fundamental to us.
